When Is the Best Time to Fertilize?
Fertilization is a great way to maintain the health of your trees and increase their residence to everyday threats such as storm damage and insects. Without proper fertilization, your trees will be lacking the right nutrients.
The best time to fertilize for most types of trees or shrubs in North Carolina is in the beginning Spring months. April & May are the perfect months.
If you plan on making this a DIY project, please make sure and do your research. Fertilizer for your lawn should not be used for your trees. It contains herbicides which could be harmful.
